 Capital Peak Summit Markers to commemorate your hike!

           Capitol Peak is located in Colorado's Elk Range. Capitol Peak is perhaps one of Colorado's most difficult climbs. The easiest route is a class 4!. It ranks 29th in elevation. It was named in 1874 by the Hayden Survey for its resemblance to the U.S. Capitol building. It is well know for a  few sections of the climb. One known as the "Knife Edge" where there is a long drop on each side that can test your nerves. Another section know as "K-2" is where many hikers turn back due to the steep terrain as well as the loose rock.

 This mountain can test your will and your courage, but if you are up for the challenge, it can be a great reward.
